My favorite project was the monster project because it allowed me to be more creative and make fun features.
A time that I struggled was during the exposed coil pot project. It was hard for me to make the swirly coils and smooth them on the inside, but not on the outside. I kept on smoothing both sides of the coil, not purposely. I think I struggled with this because I used both of my hands and while one hand was smoothing the back side, my other hand was pressing against the other side making the design go away.
When I first walked into ceramics, I didn't know how to attach designs to other clay correctly. I never knew how to scratch and attach. Also, I've learned how to smooth pinch pots really well by using a rib. From my very first pinch pot to my monster project, I think a clear improvement is the consistency with the thickness all around the pot. My overall experience in ceramics is very fun and exciting.
